Power Word Daily ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Power Word Daily iOS application ("the App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

We believe in minimal data collection. The App is designed to work primarily offline and collects as little information as possible.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

• App Store Account: If you purchase Power Word Premium ($4.99 one-time), the transaction is processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not see or store your payment information. Apple handles all billing and receipts.
• Contact Emails: If you email us at info.chelle.life@gmail.com, we retain your email and any correspondence to respond to your inquiry.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Streak and Favorites Data: Your daily streak count, saved words, and quiz progress are stored locally on your device using iOS UserDefaults and App Group storage. This data never leaves your device.
• No Account Required: The App does not require you to create an account. We do not collect your name, email, phone number, or location.

1.3 Advertising Data (Free Version Only)

The free version of the App displays banner ads through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect the following data to serve relevant ads:

• Device identifier (IDFA) — only if you have not opted out via Settings > Privacy > Tracking
• Approximate location (country-level, based on IP)
• Device type and iOS version
• App usage data related to ad interactions

AdMob's use of your data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy. You can opt out of personalized ads by going to Settings > Privacy > Tracking on your iPhone and disabling "Allow Apps to Request to Track."

As required by Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework, the App will ask for your permission before tracking your activity for advertising purposes. You may decline this request.

1.4 Google User Messaging Platform (UMP)

The App uses Google's User Messaging Platform to collect your consent preferences regarding ad tracking and data collection, as required by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other privacy regulations. Your consent choices are stored on your device.

2. How We Use Information

• To display the daily word and maintain your streak
• To serve banner ads in the free version (ad revenue supports ongoing development)
• To process premium upgrade purchases (handled entirely by Apple)
• To respond to support emails
• To improve the App's word selection and features over time

3. Information We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect your name, email, or phone number (unless you email us)
• We do not track your location (only AdMob may use country-level IP data for ads)
• We do not access your contacts, photos, camera, or microphone
• We do not sell your data to any third party
• We do not use your data for AI training
• We do not have a server that stores your app usage data

4. Data Storage

All app data — including your streak, saved words, quiz scores, and settings — is stored locally on your device using Apple's App Group storage. If you delete the App, all local data is permanently deleted. We do not have access to this data.

6.1 GDPR (European Users)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the following rights:

• Right of Access: Request a copy of any personal data we hold about you
• Right to Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate data

• Right to Withdraw Consent: Withdraw consent for ad tracking at any time

6.3 Opting Out of Ads

To stop seeing personalized ads:

• Go to Settings > Privacy > Tracking on your iPhone and disable "Allow Apps to Request to Track"
• Or purchase Power Word Premium ($4.99 one-time) to remove all ads permanently

7. Children's Privacy

The App is rated 4+ on the App Store and does not collect personal information from children. The App does not use ad targeting directed at children. AdMob ads comply with Apple's guidelines for apps rated 4+.

8. Data Retention

App data (streak, favorites, settings) is stored on your device until you delete the App. If you delete the App, all data is permanently removed. We do not retain app usage data on any server.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. If material changes are made, we will notify users through an in-app notification.
